Take a pleasant drive down Shaw Road to the outskirts of Cypress, and chances are, you are headed to a rustic log cabin restaurant, reminiscent in its peaceful serenity of the Smoky Mountains. Free range chickens and a friendly kitten or two lead the way to one of the community’s healthiest restaurants.

Searching for nutritious food options for their family of seven, Pastor Beket and Joanne Griffith opted to share their healthy meals with the community; they opened Season’s Harvest Café in September, 2010. “We are a farm-to-table restaurant, using community farmers for meats and for whole foods that are in season and grown locally. Using organic and hormone-free ingredients as much as possible, we make our food from scratch, fresh every day, even our flour.” explains Becket.

Executive Chef Joanne keeps the slogan “Make Cypress Healthy,” in mind, creating flavorful menus weekly, while providing guests the option of vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten-free entrées. Recent menu entrees included a Lamb Meatloaf Open Faced Sandwich, Caramelized Butternut Squash, Roasted Beets, and Honey-Glazed Walnut Autumn Salad with Cranberry Goat Cheese, Jalapeno-Garlic and Herb Artisan Panini, Herb-Goat Cheese and Tomato Frittata, and a Roasted Sweet Potato – White Bean Hummus Lunch Plate, (buttered locally grown organic sweet potatoes, roasted to a caramelization, then blended with white beans, tahini, fresh garlic, sea salt, and spices, topped with walnut crumble and herbed oil, served with French feta, cucumbers, and warm pita and your choice of house salad or soup)! Don’t pass on the desserts, and finish off your meal with a special blend from the coffee bar. Delicious dishes, attentive and friendly owners and staff, homey ambiance, and peaceful patio seating rate a “Thumbs Up” from a stream of return customers. The café is open for breakfast and lunch, Tuesday through Saturday, with brunch on Saturday, and dinner and live music on Friday nights.

“God’s given us a heart for Cypress! We want to provide a wholesome place to go that’s great for the soul, that’s great for the body.”- Becket Griffith

What Cypress is saying

Brittany Cossey: I went to seasons harvest this week for brunch! I got the potato and egg breakfast burrito, which was delicious. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great, as well. We will definitely go back for lunch!

Birgit Fisher: Desserts are phenomenal. Their pies and berry crumbles are out of this world, and taste like my grandma used to make them. They have a wonderfully balanced taste that lets the seasonally available fruits shine through. We even ordered our Thanksgiving apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies from them last year. I love it when the chickens and cat come visit while I enjoy my meal. Just another perk at eating there!

Robert Hurlburt: The lamb stew was hearty and satisfying, with a tasty mix of herbs and vegetables. My wife and I will be back.
Rachel Lynne Gatlin: Season’s Harvest is our fav!

Karen Burns: Love Season’s Harvest. Fresh food and they are willing to make adjustments if you have some dietary restrictions. The owners are wonderful people. Great atmosphere!

Amy Flach: Season Harvest – One of my go to (restaurants).

David Reynolds: I absolutely love Season’s Harvest. Great food, great people and relaxing place.
