Cypress-Fairbank’s 5 th Annual Superintendent’s Fun Run and Festival was held at The Berry Center on
Saturday, March 24. CFISD staff and students, local business representatives and community members
came together to support and fundraise for the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. Nearly 5,000 registered
to participate in the 5K and 1-mile event. This year, a “sleep-in” pass was offered for individuals that
wanted to support the event, but either chose to catch a few extra winks, or could not attend.
CFISD Superintendent, Dr. Mark Henry, expressed his delight at the success of the annual event, which
has grown from a fun run to include a huge community festival, with food trucks, entertainment for the
entire family, and vendors from local businesses. “I never dreamed that in our fifth year, a record
$100,000 would be raised,” commented Henry.
CFISD and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital representatives presented a check worth $100,000 to
the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. Pictured, from left, are Dr. Mark Henry, CFISD superintendent of
